Lift-manufacturers work hand in hand with the authorities in each country to review and draft new regulations that ensure lifts are a safe means of transport that are accessible to everyone.

EN 81-28: Remote alarm on passenger and goods passenger lifts.

EN 81-70: Rules for accessibility of disabled people to lifts.

EN 81-80: Existing lifts Rules for the improvement of safety of existing passenger and goods passenger lifts.

It is the responsibility of the maintenance company to inform the lift owners of the existence and application of new regulations and it the owners’ responsibility to adapt their lifts to the new legislation in force.
